I have using this Guac recipe for years cause I prefer guacamole without tomatoes. Today when it tasted like it needed a little more salt I added a bit of tajin. OMGOsh never not adding that. It is so great!

This is by far the best guacamole recipe out there. I have made this several times for company, parties and events. Each time I bring it somewhere, everyone devours it and raves about how wonderful this is. I never have leftovers. Katherine you have created the perfect combo of ingredients to make this guacamole. I make this exactly how you have it posted. Thank you for this awesome recipe!

In reply to Monica. Hi Monica, pickled jalapenos will work but add a more vinegar-y flavor. You can substitute a different kind of fresh chili, too, just be mindful of the heat.

I live in Scotland and have never seen fresh jalapeños, just the pickled ones in jars, which we love and usually put in guacamole. Should I use the pickled jalapeños or use fresh chili of whatever type is available?
