W O W !!!! I have never made pickles before, and have never liked pickles made at home by others. I had one chunkly pickling cucumber. So I was not interested in recipes that started with 7 pounds of cucumbers. I was impressed that yours was for a very small batch and decided to try it. These are the BEST pickles I have ever eaten! (And I used to work at a pickle factory.) Our first jar lasted less than 2 days, and my husband is begging me to make more. I am cutting the red pepper flakes down to a sprinkle as we don't like hot stuff. I used seasoned rice vinegar. They were MAGNIFICENT! Thanks for the recipe.
