Spring is here, daffodils and all, and I’m just thrilled about it. We’ve had weather whiplash lately, with big swings between hot and cold weather. We went on a nice walk before dinner last night, with Grace on her new scooter and Luke in the stroller.

We’re looking forward to hosting our families again for Easter this weekend, which has become “our” holiday. This will be Luke’s first Easter, which makes it even more special. He’s seven months old now, and despite his weight gain troubles earlier on, he’s turning into quite the chunk. He has loved all the foods he’s sampled so far!

April brings more seasonal produce to the table, including asparagus, beets and peas. You can find more Easter recipes here. March is here! I’m looking forward to daylight saving time starting next Sunday and spring break in a few weeks. We’ve been lucky to have a mild winter with some especially warm days lately, perfect for playing at the park.

I can’t believe it, but our baby boy is six months old now. Luke has a ready smile that lights up the room. He’s the sweetest of sweet, the chillest of chill, and we adore him! We just put his high chair together, and I’m a little intimidated to start feeding him real food soon. We did (mostly) baby-led weaning with Grace, with lots of help from the Solid Starts app (no affiliation), and we’re planning to do the same for Luke.

Asparagus is on its way, and we’ll finally have more fresh fruits and vegetables to work with this month. I’m excited to cook my favorite green curry soon, shown below. You’ll find more seasonal recipes in this post!

New Year’s already? I keep wondering where the fall went, but then I remember that I had a baby! 2025 was the year that Luke arrived. He’s four months old now, and so smiley, plump and sweet. We all adore him, including his big sister.

It’s snowing! We’re decorating our tree today and making my favorite hot chocolate. Grace and I are crafting baking soda ornaments again this year. This is our baby Luke’s first Christmas, which makes this year extra sweet.

November is here, and it’s finally starting to feel like fall outside. We had a month of sleepless nights with our newborn, who stalled in weight gain but is back on track now. Parents who know the triple feed schedule, I salute you! It’s all-consuming, but I know it won’t last forever.

It doesn’t feel like it yet, but October is here! I’m looking forward to cooler weather and Halloween, of course, but I love these gloriously comfortable sunny days the most.

We spent the month of September snuggled up with our baby boy, Luke. When I was pregnant, I was so nervous about managing two children that I forgot how magical holding a newborn can be. He slept well last night for the first time (here’s to hoping!). For anyone who’s counting down to a new baby, I rounded up our most useful baby products here.

This post is coming to you late because our baby boy arrived early! We’re home and doing well after a surprisingly swift delivery. His name is Luke, he has a full head of dark hair like mine, and we’re so happy he’s here. I feel like my heart might burst from watching Grace love her baby brother. Now that we have the house in functional order (he was exactly three weeks early), I’m trying to soak up these fleeting newborn moments.

September is when summer and fall produce collide at the farmers’ market. It’s the best of both worlds, which is why this list is a long one. I propose that we make good use of all the tomatoes, corn and peaches while we still can. I’ll be back with new recipes when I can find the time!

This month, farmers’ markets are exploding with goodness. Fortunately, much of the produce growing now doesn’t need much cooking, if at all. Our garden tomatoes are almost ripe, and I’m looking forward to making as many Caprese salads and burrata salads as I can.

You could say I’ve entered full-blown “nesting mode” since I can’t quit scrubbing the baseboards in our 100-year-old home (my husband thinks I’m nuts, but they look brand new), and tackling some home and blog projects.

July is here! Let’s hear it for long summer days and warm summer evenings. I hope you have fun plans for Independence Day—it’s one of my favorite holidays. Please be safe out there. This month offers a long list of in-season produce, including berries, corn and watermelon. Before I go, here are a few of my favorite products that are making the summer heat more bearable (they’re affiliate links):

• Blockprint sarong: Chic and affordable! They offer tons of patterns, but this light blue blockprint is my favorite.

• French hair pin: This thing actually keeps my hair up securely and off my neck. It looks more expensive than it is.
• Julienne peeler: This stainless steel peeler turns summer squash into thin ribbons—perfect for mixing into regular spaghetti to lighten up your meal, like this.
