In reply to Pat Bernier. Hi Pat, Texas or Cowboy Caviar is a common southern bean salad recipe and there are slightly different versions. Mine uses a homemade dressing instead of store-bought Italian dressing.

Wow! This was soooo good. Made it for a birthday lunch and then leftovers for days. Served as a dip and then also had as salad. Used more lime juice instead of more vinegar. Thanks!!

In reply to Katrina Johnson. Hi Katrina, it will have a distinct flavor profile, but if you really enjoy the flavor of balsamic you may like it that way. I might try parsley instead of cilantro as well.
