Instead of boiling the potatoes for crispy smashed potatoes, could you microwave them?

In reply to Greg. I If I were to boil night before, I would smash them too. It might be hard when you go to bake them if you don’t because of them being cold. Just a thought.

My family loved these! I smashed them with a metal measuring cup. Next time I will make them slightly thinner to get them more crispy.

I used a heavy glass- could probably use a mug, and didn’t go for too thin. Mine came out perfect! Using recipe for a dinner with girlfriends- and couple husbands n kids….. I know they are going to love this! Test run- none were left- every crumb was eaten. Thank you!
