I use the outer pizza crust. I don’t like to eat it, so I cut it out and freeze it. When I have enough, I dice it and season in a big bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano or chimichurri. I make it in the air fryer. The possibilities are endless, and it’s always delicious!

I froze these cooled croutons in a glass jar with great results. In fact, freezing may have even improved their texture and flavor. I use them to garnish soup.

I bought a bag of croutons, just in case this recipe didn’t come out as planned, but they came out perfect! Homemade croutons are definitely the way to go. It made such a difference to my Caesar salad! Delicious!
