Yikes. Mint julep contains no maple syrup. You’ve described something other than a mint julep. Might be delicious. Might be just what you love. Might be better than any real mint julep ever presented to a race fan on Kentucky Derby Day. But it won’t be a mint julep. Sorry. Sugar, ice, mint, Ky. bourbon….horses. That’s a mint julep.

This is the bestmint julep I’ve ever made! Using real maple syrup was nothing short of brilliant! This is the only Mint Julep recipe I’ll ever make!
