Wow, it was so delicious!
Orange and Poppy Seed match very well
Thank you so much for the recipe! I wil definately make this again:)

Note:
1. I reduce sugar (1/3 cup of Cane sugar + 1/3 Maple syrup)
2. used Greek yogurt + soy milk + 4 eggs
3. baking for 40-45min should be enough (for shallow baking pan)

Hi Sharon, the oil is added in step 5. I list it just as oil, not olive oil, so sorry for the confusion. I'm glad it still turned out for you, but that could have ben the reason it cooked so much quicker.

The cake has just come out of the oven and smells delicious! I cooked for 40 minutes and the top edges are dark brown and it’s cooked through. Definitely check it way before the 50-55 min mark.
What was the 1/2 cup olive oil at the end of the ingredients list? Was that supposed to be added? I didn’t see it in the step-by-step instructions and it’s much more than needed to grease the pan.
I’m a huge fan of your recipes, Kate! Thanks for sharing.

I saved this recipe along time ago, but just now tried it. I didn’t have oranges, but I had orange juice and only had a little bit of soy yogurt. So I used a half a cup of oatmeal and a quarter cup of orange juice and about 3 tablespoons of yogurt. Still came out delicious. I only used 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds. Thanks for posting!
