I tried this recipe at sea level with the same result. Added more water and it still wasn't enough. Quinoa was still half-raw by the end of it. Lack of response from author makes me think this was an AI generated article and recipe and likely fake reviews.

This recipe really helped in my quest to make fluffy quinoa. However I still have to make one tweek to get it right. I add 1 tablespoon of oil in the water; per one cup of quinoa.
I know this affects the nutritional value; I try to use the healthiest oil I can like avocado or olive oil.
Pretty sure it has to do with the high elevation ( 9,600ft ) and low humidity.
I found this out by accident and it has been a game changer. I also have to do this when making rice.
Hope this helps others who live at high altitude.

I tried this with a couple of different types of quinoa but found there to be too much liquid. Reduced by 25% and got much better results.
The heat off and steam method at the end of cooking is definitely the way to fluffier results though.
Thank you, D

I knew nothing about cooking quinoa, so I was thrilled to find this. Used it many times, and have ended up modifying to 1 3/4 c water for 1 c quinoa. That helped the water absorb more before the quinoa started sticking. Electric stove, tricky to get heat decreased quickly enough, even with stirring.
Thanks for great tips!
