I’ve made these twice and they’re delicious! I used honey, and cut back on the salt the second time because we tend to eat low sodium. They’ve already become a staple in our house!

I add Serrano and/or Jalapeno peppers. Put both onions and peppers on pulled pork or any other bbq. So good.

I’ve made these at least 20 times. Over time, I’ve tweaked a little to use all apple cider vinegar (no distilled white) and I add whole black peppercorns for a bit more spice, but that’s just to tailor it to my taste. As is, this recipe is perfect.

I put the onions on salads, bowls, tacos, bahn mi, curries, you name it! And when I’m done, I use the brine as the acid for a salad dressing.

These pickled onions are so easy to do, and are delicious with just about everything.
I am never without them in the fridge and often take a jar to friends or family as well.

In reply to Kelley. I have been making these for the most part of 50 years to go with the Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey dinner. I don't like onions and nether do my family but these everyone loved.

Amazing! I made these to go on salmon tacos and they were perfect. I used honey which added a really nice flavor and as well as a hint of sweetness. So easy and so delicious, will be making these again.
