In reply to mary. Hi Mary, yes this should be ideal for that type of gathering. The kale and sprouts hold up well to dressing, and the dressing doesn't contain dairy or eggs, which shouldn't be out at room temperature a long time.

Have been saving this recipe for a while, finally tried it as I am growing kale in my garden and it’s harvest time. Love the flavors. Is this something that can sit at room temperature for a few hours on a buffet?

I didn’t love this. The tahini was all I could taste, I think it needs to be reduced by at least half so that there is some other flavor.

I made this salad today to take to a potluck meal with friends. It was fine but not outstanding, perhaps a little bland. No one had seconds or asked for the recipe. I think I’ll add more Parmesan and some cooked chicken when I eat the leftovers.

Okay, have just made this and I’m typing as I eat! It’s so amazingly yummy! I had to sub almonds for toasted hazelnuts, and replaced strong cheddar with Parmesan (as not a fan)! Delicious with some crispy tofu! Can imagine it would be great in a sandwich too!!! Thanks All of your recipes are always so good! X

This was great – I subbed in bacon and pine nuts and left out the parm (it’s what I had), and it worked out great! I also did not have miso, so used some coco aminos. I’m assuming the miso would have been ideal, but the dressing was still great.
