WOW! Sweet potatoes aren’t my favorite, but they’re healthy and I had a bag. This recipe is perfect. They’re so good! Only thing I changed is, I didn’t have sour cream so I subbed cottage cheese. That was a very happy “mistake” because it really added a nice flavor. New face!

Made this for Easter dinner everyone loved it, but I made it especially for my sister who hates sweet potatoes. Let me tell you this won her over thank you! Now I have to find a bean recipe for her, wish me luck.

These are really, really good! I never would have thought to make sweet potatoes savory in this way but they are excellent. I’m not the marshmallow type anyway but I just always associated sweet potatoes with “sweet.” It turns out when you add salt and some spices you get a wonderful blend of sweet and savory. And the garlic helps too. I put these in a bed under chicken with lentils which had its own sauce and that was divine. But they would also be nice with a pork loin and many other things.

Holy cow, this recipe is so good!! We loved mashed potatoes and wanted to have some beyond the standard recipe we always have. This did not disappoint. Perfect balance of sweet and savory! I used garnet yams and it turned out amazingly.

Made for our family Christmas dinner yesterday. The only change was I sautéed the garlic in a little of the butter before adding to the potatoes. They were great!

Mary I make this dish every year and make it sometimes 2 days ahead of time. Making it for Christmas dinner. Turns out wonderful and saves time doing it ahead of time. Just have it all ready in your casserole dish then pull it from refrigerator when ready to bake in oven.
