In reply to Chris. Hi Chris, good catch, I was working quickly and just saw chickpea allergy. Legumes would include all peas, beans, etc., so substitutions would be nearly impossible for a hummus like dip.

Sweet potato hummus
– perfect.
I mostly microwaved the potato and finished off in the oven.
I used 1/4 tsp cayenne – definitely had a “bite”

This sweet potato hummus was really good. We had it with pork chops and Mediterranean salsa salad.

In reply to Larysa Botwinick. Hi Larysa, I'm afraid that nothing will quite achieve the flavor of tahini, but you could try sunflower butter. I haven't tasted it so not sure how the flavors would work, but it is worth a try.
