I like this salsa with a salty option, but if you like spicy and sweet together, this might pair well with churro chips. I would adjust the honey to taste, but that is very much about personal preference.

Hi Kate!

Do you think this would pair well with churro chips? Or would you add more honey and up the sweetness for that?

You can always soak red onions in water for about 10-15 minutes and it gets rid of that strong onion taste!

This was in my in-box this morning. I can't wait to try it. I've made both peach and a pineapple salsa previously. Both were great with baked mild white fish, and chicken. I plan to do the same with the strawberry salsa, as well as using all 3 (not together) on crostini.

I have made this three times already this summer. It is always well received. I only use a small jalapeno, or none at all, as I do not like the heat I added in a little yellow or orange pepper for color. I have also added some fresh peach. It is a delicious, bright change from the traditional salsa and is perfect for the summer.
