Really love this stuff! Went with this recipe because a friend is vegetarian but I see no need to find another. Dried Japanese chile pods work well for me, and I like adding a cup of frozen corn too (canned corn didn’t cook enough)

Dear Kate,

Back in my first apartment I used to make this recipe all the time. I got to the point where I knew the recipe by heart. It has been a few years since making this soup and I see you have completely changed the recipe. Why did you take out the poblanos and the hominy? why did you replace the queso fresca with feta?

I thought those ingredients really made the soup different and special. It bums me out that you changed the recipe to be so basic.

A lovely soup. Due to allergies not able to add potato. Did add zucchini & celery to the soup, forgot the garlic. Added white cheddar cheese, blended with hand blender. Delicious. Thank you for such beautiful healthy recipes. Risa
